WHAT IS PRODUCTION MUSIC?
Production Music is music composed specifically
for use in audio or audio-visual productions
(synchronization) such as television broadcasts,
commercials/advertisements, films/movies, company/institutional
videos or multimedia videos. It consists of
music libraries which contain high-quality music
of every genre at a reasonable cost.
The Music Libraries do not contain famous tracks.
Production Music is protected by copyright;
therefore, in order to take advantage of the
music,
FM records must first give its
approval for use.
FMrecords Music Library allows audio-video producers
to obtain licenses to use copyrighted audio
content with a single request made to the Italian
Society for Composers, Authors and Publishers
(SIAE), thus simplifying a process that is often
long and complex.
To obtain a license, simply go to any of the
many
SIAE
offices located in Italy and make your request,
using
DRV2 Form for video graphics
or DMM2 Form for multimedia, and
attaching
PM
Form. A license will be granted immediately
upon payment of fees, which are calculated on
the basis of standard
RATES.
These forms are available at all SIAE offices
in Italy or on their website: www.siae.it under
the heading
PRODUCTION MUSIC.
